| History
Helping Hands Ministries was formed as an outreach ministry of New Friendship Baptist Church in 1995. The original goal was to provide an emergency source of services to families with children facing temporary adversity. Helping Hands Ministries was incorporated as a private nonprofit corporation in August of 2001 and gained 501 © (3) status in November 2001. Additionally, in 2001 HHM created a new program, Project Genesis, to provide transitional housing with services for homeless families with children. In 2005, Project Genesis' name was changed to Helping Hands Village.
Mission
The mission of Helping Hands Ministries is to be the link between adversity and prosperity and to help bring families in need back to a state of self- sufficiency.
